About me:

Meet your 11th Grade History Teacher:

My name is Kyle Morrison. I grew up in Wetumpka, Alabama, and I graduated from Wetumpka High School. After I finished high school, I started college at Troy University. I went to Troy for one semester, but then I decided to transfer to Shelton State Community College. At Shelton State, I played baseball for two years while I was going to school. Playing baseball helped me learn how to work hard and be part of a team. It was a fun experience that helped me grow both as a player and as a person. I also worked hard on my classes so I could keep going in my education. After I finished two years at Shelton State, I transferred to the University of South Alabama. I studied there for one year and kept playing baseball. It was a little different being at a bigger school, but I learned a lot and met new people. Then, I transferred again to the University of Southern Mississippi. Each school I went to gave me a chance to learn more and better myself. Changing schools was not always easy, but it helped me become stronger. Through all of these changes, I stayed focused on my goals. I am proud of my journey and all the things I have learned along the way. I am excited to see what the future holds now that I have been given the chance to teach and coach and keep improving every day.

Fun Facts About Me:

When I’m not teaching, I love spending time outdoors and one of my favorite places to be is at the baseball field or out in the woods where I enjoy hunting and fishing. My two favorite animals to hunt are deer and duck and there’s nothing more exciting to me than seeing a big buck or catching a big bass. I really enjoy being outside and spending time in nature. I’m also a huge Alabama football fan and every Saturday during football season you can find me watching the game with my friends and family. My favorite color is blue and I love Labrador Retrievers because they are chill, smart, and fun to be around. My favorite food is steak and I enjoy it grilled just right. I also really like coffee but only if it’s sweet because I don’t like the taste of black coffee. I’m very excited to be your teacher this year and I can’t wait to get to know each of you and your families. I think we are going to have an amazing year full of learning, growing, and fun activities.
